The Feminist Approach to Property in One's Body
A feminist analysis would say that women's bodies have always been open, open to all comers or whatever. So Moore was not a woman, but nevertheless his body was in a sense open and commodifiable. Some biotech firms are actually taking out restrictive licensing agreements, defensive patents, and these are actually impeding research. And oddly enough it tends to be in things that have to do with women's medicine. It does seem actually it's women's health that is particularly vulnerable to this commodification.
