Fungus - The Wood Wide Web
The wood wide web is an affectionate term given to the phenomenon in which different plants can be coupled together by relating to the same bungle work. It's not a technical term, but it's a a helpful metaphor to communicate to people that what we might think of as separate organisms are actually related to each other. And this isn't something just happening out there, far away in the forest. Fungy play a key supporting role in our everyday lives.
