Dorothy - Is She Having a Walk in the Park?

Judy Garland was just 16 when they cast her as Dorothy in Wizard of oz. The studio put her on strict diets and gave her happy pills to keep her going for 72 hours so that she could pell speed instantly. She has a lifelong pill and alcohol adiction, which is probably what kicked off her lifelong drug and alcohol addiction. Judy says the studios were very ruthless with their treatment of their stars - even children.
