The Sapient Paradox
The sapient paradox is the prehistoric analogue of the firmi paradox. It asks, why were we trapped in pre history? Just as the firmi Paradox implies a great filter, the sapient paradox implies a great trap. The modern human society lived for at minimum 50 thousand years, and at maximum something like t hundred thousand years - depending on your politics.
