Better Help Isn't Selling Your Data to Third Parties
Facebook has alerted every time someone opens the Better Help app. Metadata from every message to a therapist, though not its contents, are also sent to Facebook. One research and analytics firm Mixpanel got even more information. Each patient using BetterHelp was assigned a random number. Then, answers to therapy and takes were attached to said number and forwarded to Mixpanel.
