The Parallel Between Baelem and Baelec
Jim Boulden: There's an irony between the donkey who can see the angel and this prophet, the seer who can't see the angel. It seems to me this is a narrative foreshadowing of exactly what's going to play out between Baelem and Baelec. He says in verse 38, Baelem said to Baelek, behold, I've come to you. Have I now any power of my own to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth. That must I speak.
