Is There Levels of Autonomy?
There is this kind of I think there's a framework there are levels or someone's defined some levels of autonomy could you just walk us through those yeah so there are these are labels from SAE they used to be the Society of Automotive Engineers who talk about levels from zero to five. The technology that Tesla are currently offering is actually a level two technology which is enough in effect it's a sort of upgraded version of traffic aware cruise control and some lane keeping. It does some clever things like it's able to move you on and off the highway and it recognizes some traffic lights but would you trust it to drive you from one side of a city to another well I wouldn't right?
