"I don't know that if Alex suddenly just turned good of his own accord and that was it was a nice kind of tied up in a bow ending, I think again, Kubrick is too cold for that kind of an empty. And what Kubrick loved to do, he loved to sort of make viewers work and not let them off the hook," she says. "It really does leave you with a kind of awkward bad taste in your mouth."
