On February 19, 1942, President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066. That gave the military the authority to forcibly remove any one of Japanese ancestry from the west coast. And that man's name is Fred Kormatsu. The class got really quiet and I had 35 pairs of eyes turn around and looking at me.
