The fundamental critique of the book being that these opposite valuations are a sort of fundamental metaphysical mistake that we make. And that this mistake in metaphysics and the way that we think about the world, colors our entire moral view or rather our moral view is one manifestation of that. So this is actually very important if our entire moral thinking has been skewed by this fundamental mistake. That's how I would put the basic thesis of beyond good and evil.
