COP26 in Glasgow Was Not the Deal It Looked Like

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said that when they got home and started doing the sums on what they'd need to move away from coal, it amounted to about 98 billion US dollars. That's more than 10 times what was promised at the last COP. The 8.5 billion promised in Glasgow was not quite the deal it seemed once they read the fine print. As we looked more closely added to it found that in the end only 2.7% was grabbed money and other portions were loans.
