Lacan's Inversion of the Ladder of Desire
The full spectacle in a way even is without the author right it's sort of like it is really a kind of an altruist illusion that can be destroyed the moment we stop believing in. The whole point is to de-cathects that is to unbind the desire from the connection to the sort of strong connection with the objects and return it back to itself so it falls on itself on what it always wanted.
