The Different Versions of Abu Ghrairah's Hadith
Abu Ghrairah had so many companions transmitting from him, often one hadith will have like 10 different assignees. So if a transmitter is consistent in the way he relays a hadith across the years, that tells you that there is a degree of retention in his transmission. And likewise, with Abu Ghrairh, this is something we observe in his hadith, and we're fortunate enough to be able to observe it regularly.
