Toxic Alcohol Ingestion: A Comprehensive Review

Toxic alcohol ingestion can be difficult as patients can present with a variety of symptoms ranging from undifferentiated, altered mental status to appearing amebriated. Treatment priorities include resuscitation and stabilization but methazol is our preferred antidote in cases of significant toxicity. IV ethanol is an alternative recommendation, but as someone who had to live through that with the thymepzol shortage, it's absolutely terrible.
