How do you make sure your personal preferences and biases don't cloud your judgment on the topics you cover? It's a great question. You try to keep as much of an open mind as you can, but the fact is everybody brings biases to the table. So I would imagine the best you could do is be aware that you have biases and try your best to hear out the other side with an open mind.
