I think the focus in recent decades has just been on maximizing economic growth without paying much attention to how proceeds are distributed. And Rawls gives us a different way of thinking. He says we should try to organize our economic system in a way that's best for the least by law. I talk about the case for a universal basic income as the most, as the best way to meet basic needs whilst respecting the dignity and self respect to the least well off.
