How to Create a Service Layer in Django

There was a debate recently. about creating a service layer and they were very anti Django in the ORM in it. And again, this goes back to cutting with the grain of the framework. They sort of need the reps to understand how the pieces fit together, I think, right? Like I thought about like, how many different ways can I do it to do app or even Hello World? Actually, I have a post on Hello World done five different ways, which I think is quite clever. But I think I haven't explained it well enough to get it kind of get at this issue.
