The original Benny Goodman quartet were an extraordinary set of musicians. By 1939 both Wilson and Cooper had departed for other bands. The classic lineup of the quartet had stopped performing together. But he also realised the need to make up for the loss of two such exceptional musicians being co-operating more, and so the Benny Goodman sex tats were formed.
