The Importance of Human Engagement in the Stock Exchange
In 2006, things were already very electronic. Those who have survived have basically had to reinvent themselves. They've held on to relationships that they've had over time and have sort of cashed in on whatever thing made them a special broker. The New York stock exchange is not the only place to trade. Markets are being made around the clock 24-7. All the futures, the spiders, all the ETFs and whatnot are trading actively when we are asleep.
