The Case for Shannon's Death
The lead investigator takes a metal detector out to the woods and he walks back and forth scanning for anything metal. He does not find her ring anywhere out there. Later that year during an interview with one of Shannon's best friends, Julia, they actually get something that helps. She tells them that on the night Shannon died, she stopped over at Shannon's house around midnight to tell her about a job opportunity. This completely contradicts the Jones brothers story where they said they dropped her off between 1230 and 130 in the morning. And it is compelling, but it is circumstantial at best.
