Hooker's Laws
Hooker was a conservative figure no less than Thomas Moore earlier in the century. For Moore that meant fighting Protestantism, for Hooker it meant adhering to Anglican settlement. In late 16th century England one group was being true to Protestantism while another wasn't. He dismissed the teachings of Rome as mere superstition because he didn't take Catholicism seriously.
