Andrew Carnegie at the height of his wealth was worth, if you adjust it for inflation, 320 billion dollars. He had the same purchasing power as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and three Richard Branson's all combined. And yet he died of pneumonia, something that even a poor person in the United States today can afford to buy a cure for. It really does point to something quite fundamental when you think about these things.
