The Conflicting Stories Between Early and Late Measurements
The cosmic microwave background radiation tells us how the universe was expanding when it was little when it was a baby not how it's expanding today. We have a model for how the universe should expand using various components matter or radiation dark matter dark energy etc. Well it's a pretty simple model but it's been working really really well so far and this is the first sign of strains it's really been showing. Maybe one of these measurements is wrong we're just not sure.
