The End of the CIA's LSD Experiments

The CIA's experiments with LSD persisted until 1963 before coming to a fairly anticlimactic end. The inspector general insisted the agency follow new research ethics guidelines and bring all the programs on non-consenting volunteers to an end. There were real human victims as a result of these programs, including at least one death that of a scientist who was given LSD without his knowledge.
