Bhagavadam's teaching is the direct path as opposed to sitting around wondering about Advaita philosophy. The story I heard about the Ribugita was that and again you never know if these stories are true or fable but that he gave a copy of this book to a woman who is working in the kitchen at the ashram which raises another question.
