The Physics of the Great Pyramid

The king's chamber is at the uppermost end of the great pyramid. The walls are built with granite and the construction appears to be very precise so it was important that good quality material was used. Egyptians would have undoubtedly understood the solstices and equinoxes. These pyramids were constructed with a desire for them to face true north as the entrances were often on the north face.
