The Cecil Rhodes Statue Is a Good Symbol of the Broader Contradictions

The Oxford campaign was inspired by the South African campaign, where you have this massive statue of Cecil Rhodes. The vast majority of people have never heard of this man because his legacy is an uncomfortable one, and that are enabling it. There's a need to expel the person who's name, even just naming the existence of empire as like a shaping force of British history and also world history.
