I was also just like the way that British class structure works. It is not as clear cut as like black and white, which is much more how the American system works. So where did writing sort of arrive in your professional life? How did that shift happen? When I left nounist, I went freelance and someone said to me, when you go freelance, you just say yes to everything for two years and then think about what your career is at the end of that. And someone asked me to write a column for a magazine. But it's really in the last sort of maybe 10 years that you've kind of emerged also as a writer.
