How to Build a Great Engineering Product

I realized that the engineers that I was working with are the ones that I hired or the ones I'm working with right now, that's their passion. Their passion is building great, fundamental, great engineering product. That's just not how I was built. So before I would write code, now I do specs. Now I have Google Docs. I love creating a Google Doc like a one-pager, two-pager and just start adding people onto that from marketing to data science to get their input. Just have that conversation asynchronously on that doc. If you're going to build a product that is mostly just here towards engineering but most products that we're talking about
