Did Neil Armstrong Go to the North Pole?

In 1985 Neil Armstrong went to the north pole with Edmund Hillary. They were staying in a hut which was still in icy conditions and storms around them. The men got stuck in the hut for a number of days and all they could do was chat. Apparently it was the first time ever that Neil Armstrong completely opened up about his experience on the moon he'd never done that before to anyone.
