Weber was so intrigued by or interested in America. I guess it's what we now call a prosperity gospel. But whatever he's talking about, boy, it sure does seem to have found fertile soil here and still does flourish. One obvious question here is why or how does this element from Protestantism get preserved inextricably upon us like a steel suit? Even as people get less and less religious, how does that get preserved even as we move into this more secular world?
