The Role of Birds in Laying Eggs

For most species, it takes between 20 and 30-ish minutes to lay an egg. However, there's a whole other set of birds called brood parasites. These are mothers who swoop in to someone else's nest entirely,. And they lay their eggs in someone else’s nest then fly away again. So they essentially drop off their children in a permanent daycare situation and off they go.
