The Worst Awakening of British Left Wing Politics

The UK is in a very weird position where it's like, I don't know if there's a way it could have been different. The most effective sort of British left wing political movements in a long time was the poll tax stuff in the 90s. But then somehow they manage to do the thing that social democratic governments always do and get into power. It turns out if you actually do all of their policies, the entire world implodes. They are incapable of conceiving of the harm that they're doing.
