Code as a Medium

I feel like I learn a lot more through using code as a medium because you have to learn this like syntax for it and you could apply that to other things. You know what I mean? You could build hardware that makes pancakes or something like that. If you're interested in art then make art and you can use code to facilitate that. The hardest part is just like feeling validated and doing that. And so it seems like it's the most important thing. So am I a real developer? I make art though. Am I an artist though? Because I'm also an engineer. Like, throw that into the pile of internal struggles that we all have to deal with.
