Introduction

Saints thomas aquinas is one of the great mediaeval theologians and, yes, a great catholic saint. The dominican order was founded in 12 17 by dominic guzman, who was a spanish priest living in what would be called the time, an augustinian canonry. And dominic started a preaching band to respond to them, to preach the gospel to them,. But they were people who were very ucritical of clergy, who were lax or materialistic. So domic lived a life of radical poverty to bring to them a counter witness of a person whose life was zealously devoted uniquely to christ.
