I thought it was wrong. And I wondered if I could help in any way, so I went down to Selma. But I have a weird perspective on all that late 60s stuff. protests became nothing more than well, I wrote a book. My theory was that the media set up these spectacles for people to participate and feel that you've been doing something. Do you think that's still the case now? Well, I'm not aware so much of any mass protest movements. There's a lot less freedom now. You could say anything you want on the internet. So it siphons off. It's like a tea kettle siphoning off the steam.
