The Importance of Shadow Work

I'm reading an interesting book on the concept of shadow work. Has this ever come up for you? I have no idea what that means. So it's sort of like a branch of Carl Jung's philosophy. He says when you're born, you're born pure right. And then gradually you sort of get socialized into culture and culture teaches you certain things are acceptable and certain things aren't. The things that are acceptable become part of your public persona. And then the things that aren't become part ofyour shadow.
