Uber Platforms - How Does It Affect Platform Work?

We define algorithmic management as a platforms large scale collection and use of data to develop and improve learning algorithms. And these algorithms then carry out coordination and control functions that have traditionally been performed by managers, right, and they do that in a very highly automated and state had driven fashion. So the algorithm acts like a boss and may penalize drivers in case they do not show up on time, in case they show undesirable behavior.
