The Monk and Nun
The first recorded account of a woman having an orgasm was written in 1150. Hilda God wrote about her companion recardis, who she describes as 'amazing' The author says the word nun can be seen as empowering because it gives women access to education and protected them from rape. She also argues that nuns were involved in sexual relationships before the Reformation.
