The Power of God Is in Christ, Not in Us
Paul says the gospel is 'the power of god for salvation to every one who believes' In verse 16, paul makes a reference to ichrist jesus before the ages began. Paul draws a straight line to his own ministry as an apostle and preacher. The fulfilment of this purpose is not the salvation of detached individual so much as the formation of the people of the church in christ.
