The United States has had a privileged security position since the end of warwar two. It was japan's inter war strategy that brought us to the pacific islands, because they expanded after pearl harbor all the way down to the solomon islands. Now china's grown its being able to project its influence and power much more. And so it's punching its weygt down he south. China wants to know what we're doing and what we're up to.
