Is It a Revisionist History?
In the early 1950s, Los Angeles was treated as this miraculous place where everyone could have their own little house. But by the 1970s, it was treated as like LA had become this kind of smoggy suburban hell and it's never really shaken that reputation. In a sense, it's much easier to believe in a conspiracy than confront the fact that history is complicated.
