That's sort of the dea of progressing as a society. And democracy, as far as i understand it, requires that diversity. It requires variation and diversity of thought that's the whole basis of democratic functioning. Sometimes i do wonder if fashion people dismiss the idea that fashion affects anything outside of fashion. But there is also thinking fashion. In anthropology, this is called cultural inheritance.
