We all make deposits, as opposed to withdrawals, from the global brain that is society. Does that mean that we won't have incredibly deep disagreements? Of course not. We always will. That's sort of the dea of progressing as a society. And democracy, as far as i understand it, requires that diversity. It requires variation and diversity of thought that's the whole basis of democratic functioning.
