Dacker keltner has been in prison since he was a 16 year old boy. He is looking at what happens to our bodies and minds when we reflect on our connections. We all have those moments when we feel really connected with someone. When they are sad, we may teer up in sadness. If they're happy or joyful, we may smile with joy. And the literature backs it up. Feeling socially connected creates shared emotional states, shared goals and ways of looking at the world.
