What Makes Something a Horror?
A lot of philosophers don't accept the idea of defeating evil in that way, but then other philosophers are drawn to it. Thought a horror was an instance of suffering which gave us reason to suspect that the sufferer's life was not a great good on the whole. And that can be true with all kinds of human horrors too. But now, notice that there are some evils in the world where when we find out about them, we do find ourselves prima facia,. maybe it would have been better if that creature, that person or creature had never existed.
