The Importance of Hand Injuries in Emergency Medicine
Dr. DeStefano has worked in Collinwood, the emergency department for almost 20 years and recently wrapped up work in there about a year ago. Hand injuries deserve special care; they're different than toe injuries, let's say. A little tiny puncture wound on the flexor's eye can give you a flex routine to sign a vitamin. If it's mismanaged, a patient can have an index finger, their dominant hand that never works normally again.
