The Pet Problem in Queensland
As of 1 October, if a tenant would like to apply for a pet, there is a prescribed application form that they must fill in and that has lots of information on it. The landlord then needs to make a decision as to whether they will just simply allow that pet or whether they will place reasonable conditions or reasonably object. If you say we don't want venomous animals at our property, that's probably also a reasonable condition one that would be upheld.
