Daphne Caruana Galbraith died on October 16th. She had been searching for the truth about corruption allegations in Malta. The Labour Party was accused of opening up offshore bank accounts and companies to secretly store money that they would be receiving as bribes. An early general election was called in June of 2017, and the Labour Party were re-elected with a resounding majority.
