What Happened to the Central Left in Chile?
When the berlin wall came down in 19 90, 89, it was the same time that democracy came back to cile. And so people on the centre left, the christian democrats, who had never been in favor of free markets, said, well, and actually, the economy was growing at 78%. So they said, let's keep it this way. I mean, don't go back, let'sDon't go back to socialist ideas o statism. This isn't work. O, ultimately, it was impossible to fight against this wave of ideas that, you know, took over the public sphere in chile. And i was probably the only one at some point
