FIFA Owns the Rights to Show the World Cup

The World Cup is owned 100% by FIFA. The rights to show the thing go to somebody else, and that money gets kept by the company using all your facilities you just built. And ticket sales are owned by a subsidiary company, which is owned by FIFA. That alone was worth more than $1 billion US in 2018.
